Andy began running track as a high school sophomore. Over the next three years, he competed in the 4x100m and 4x400m relay as well as the 110m high and 300m intermediate hurdles. Andy’s 4x400m relay team medalled at the 2006 Pennsylvania AAA State Track and Field Championships, and it still holds the school record with a time of 3:22.59. Following high school, Andy sprinted for Malone University in the 400m intermediate hurdles and 4x400m relay. In 2009, he was named an NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete.
After moving to Northeast Ohio with his family, Andy became a member of the Ashtabula Distance Runners Club. In 2019 he earned an OHSAA Track and Field Officials Permit. Andy works as an insurance broker at Pelorus Financial Group in Jefferson.
